The great exhibition of the Japanese sculptor Kengiro Azuma, set in the scenic backdrop of the Rocks of Matera, until 2 October.

MUSMA, the Museum of Contemporary Sculpture, inaugurates its first anthological exhibition by the Japanese sculptor Kengiro Azuma, set in the scenic backdrop of the Rocks of Matera

102 sculptures, 50 drawings and 16 jewels; the collection includes productions from the sculptor from 1048 to 2010, as well as light installation, “light of Matera” which accentuates the rocky environment of Matera

The exhibition is divided among the two ancient churches of Madonna delle Virtù and San Nicola dei Greci.   Following there is also a rich collection of images and documents, most of which are unpublished, documenting the biographical and artistic life of the sculptor.
