Naples is a truly ideal destination during the Christmas period with its display of hand-crafted Nativity Scenes, famous al lover the world. Pompeii also holds an exhibition dedicated to the most loved festive season.

The Street of Nativity Scenes of Naples has always been San Gregorio Armeno, in Spaccanapoli. Here craft shops put their hand-crafted scenes depicting the yuletide events on display, with scenes, statuettes and caricatures of famous personalities such as Toto' and Maradona.

During the Christmas period, the streets and piazzas in Naples also organise real Christmas scenes, traditionally at Piazza San Gaetano, while the church of Chiesa di S. Lorenzo Maggiore displays a surprising collection of nativity scenes made from nut shells.

In Pompeii, in the exhibition area of Santuario, from the 17 – 19 December the first “Christmas Exhibition” will take place, dedicated to the traditional Christmas customs of Campania with nativity scenes, typical cakes, crafts with over 50 exhibitors.
