On 1 May 2011 in Rome at St.Peter’s chruch, the ceremony of the beatification of Pope John-Paul II will take place.

After six years of the death of Pope John-Paul II, deceased on April 2, 2005, Karol Wojtyla will be beatified during a solemn ceremony held at St.Peter’s Church.

An event attracting crowds of worshippers to Rome, and anticipated all over the world, the mass of beatification will be held by Pope Benedict XVI, successor to John-Paul II.

The beatification ceremony will be preceded by a vigil at Circo Massimo from 21.00 to 22.30. On May 1, after the beatification, worshippers can pay homage to the tomb of John-Paul II at St.Peter’s church.
