Among the initiatives of the Roman Summer, don’t miss the evening guided tours of the imperial forums and animated guided tours of the Marcello Theatre!

The 2011 Roman Summer begins with some truly unmissable initiatives. Among the many opportunities we will highlight two features allowing you to discover the most famous monuments of Rome.

If you want to visit the imperial forums by night, guided tours take place each Saturday evening enjoy the night illuminations. The tours depart from Piazza del Campidoglio and take around 2 hours, visiting Foro di Cesare and Mercati Traianei.

On the 2nd and 4th Sunday morning of each month during the Roman Summer, activities aimed towards children and teenagers are held. In the setting of Teatro di Marcello (Theatre of Marcello), interactive shows depicting the history of Rome take place. Four actors in costumes present characters and anecdotes of ancient Rome, as well as aspects of daily life. And, if you want to find out what the ancient Romans once ate, do not miss out on the Carthigian honey and cheese cake (a recipe from Catone) and more delicacies.
