From 12 – 16 May 2011, Turin hosts the 24th International Book Show, which by now is a traditional editorial event, celebrating Italian and international culture and literature.

After the success of the show of 2010, which attracted over 1400 editors and 300,000 visitors, one of the leading book shows for publishers and culture and book lovers returns to Turin.

For 5 days exhibition space at Lingotto di Torino will host stands and publishers discovering latest publications and books featured in catalogues by all publishers, as well as meetings with readers and authors, journalists and leading celebrities from the world of Italian and international culture.

This year, the 2011 Book Show also marks the celebrations following the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, where a Padiglione Italia (Italy Marquee) will be set up featuring a symbolic selection of “150” books (1 for each year since the Unification of Italy) selected by the Scientific Committee, dedicated to 15 prominent figures of Italian literature and 15 publishers (one for each decade), an area dedicated to the most phenomenal publishers and the future of Italian literature.
