Events in Tuscany: Florence, Picasso, Mirò, Dalì. Young and angry: the birth of modernity
Picasso, Mirò, Dalì. Young and angry: the birth of modernity is a collection of over 60 works relative to the pre-cubist period of Picasso (before 1907) and the painting of Mirò from 1915 and 1920, confronted with those of Dalì from the period of 1920 - 1925, highlighting the differences of their works of the two artists before there adhesion to Surrealism.
The works exhibited at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence come from major Spanish museums, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and also private collections. It will also be the first time that workbooks of Picasso Cahier 7, containing his first sketches for Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, will be exhibited outside of Spain.
The exhibition is intended to highlight the productions of the young Dalì, Picasso and Mirò on the relationships which linked the three artists, in their early years, to the artistic revolution of the twentieth century.
