Adrian is a travel writer, blogger and Englishman living in Italy’s Piedmont region. He lives in the wine region of the Langhe just outside the town of Canelli. When not working he is either renovating his country house that he shares with his wife Sandy or exploring the beautiful Italian countryside that surrounds him.

When you live in an area of such outstanding beauty you cannot help but be inspired by either the architecture, art, cuisine, design or history. Every day brings an opportunity to enjoy life, every hilltop village is diverse with history and tradition to be uncovered.

Adrian's Profile 
Born in the West Country, where he spent most of his formative years, he moved to London in his late teens. He studied Ophthalmic Dispensing at City University, London. A series of visits to Italy for holidays as well as business over many years and a general disillusionment with the UK led him to achieve his goal of living a new life in Italy. He and his wife sold up just over two years ago and moved to the beautiful region of Piedmont. He now spends his time researching, writing and blogging about his adopted country, from a local and sometimes national perspective.

Travelling and Writing
They say that the best way to find the tourist trail is to ask a tourist. Adrian can therefore be counted lucky to be a tourist every day, constantly searching out new experiences in Piedmont, from hilltop castles to hotels, from lakes to mountains and from panoramic views to vineyards.
Adrian's enjoy's sharing his love of Italian travel, history and culture through his articles and postings. As well as writing for ItalyItalia, he also puts finger to keyboard for Wandering Educators as Piedmont Editor, for Earth.org as Piedmont Ambassador and as a Local Expert for NileGuide.
