Monia Melis loves travelling and writing. She can show you, from her own personal viewpoint, the many different places around Sardinia, the island where she was born, She considers her homeland to be like a little continent full of strong contrasts, with the majority of the inland part of the island still relatively unknown to visitors. She likes to speak to local people and take photographs that capture the spirit of a locality and also the emotions it inspires in her. A journalist with a degree in communications, her interests include the politics, the economics, the culture and the social aspirations of different geographical and territorial regions. She works with several different printed and online publications helping to raise awareness of some of the lesser known parts of this Mediterranean island and of the interesting Italian people that she has met during her travels
